Social Justice Movement (SJM), Ghana
(Social Justice Today)

We wish to invite you to attend and participate in the following event:

Title of Event:

Date: Saturday, 21st September 2019

Time: 11.00 a.m. Prompt

Venue: CST, Bolgatanga Poly, Bukere, Ministries, Bolga

This is an event to honour the memory of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, who together with the Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP) indefatigably fought for the independence of Ghana. The CPP government implemented programmes of social and economic agenda to transform Ghana.

Following the coup of 24th February 1966, import and export substitution industries that were set up were either abandoned or sold to foreign interest. This led to the culmination of the massive poverty and deprivation that we have in Ghana today. This has created enormous fraud and corruption unparallel in the history of Ghana.

It is the view of the SJM that progressive forces such as Trades Unions, revolutionary organisations and parties, the youth, women and organisations sympathetic to the ideas of Nkrumah who want a genuine independent Ghana to come together to celebrate Nkrumah’s birthday and chart a positive way forward.

We believe that it is only the people that can determine their future. We regard you as an organisation that cares passionately about injustice and therefore will like to come and be part in this discussion.

There is plenty of time for all attending if they wish to make contributions.

See you on the day and please put it in your diary. Attached is an advert for the event.

Yours sincerely,

Nyeya Yen                                                                               Richard Asueme
